Went here for a meal on Monday after reading all the good reviews. We weren't disappointed. They have a lovely huge fish tank in the cantre of the restaurant. We were greated by a polite member of staff, asked where we wanted to sit as it was quiet. Straight away we ordered our drinks and poppadoms. The waiter then told us when we're ready to order let them know. Which I thought was good. Eventually we ordered our food. When it arrived it looked and smelt lovely. The taste was amazing, the portions were big and the best thing I liked about our meal was they presented the nan bread cut up for you. ( so no mess trying to cut up hot nan). We have been trying to find a nice Indian around the Torquay area and it's safe to say we have found one, at last. Would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be going back. Thank you for some lovely food.

I could quite possibly go as far as saying it's the best Indian meal I have ever had. My husband thought so too. The Staff were very accommodating and friendly from the minute you walked in the door. Might have to go back on our last day of our holiday.

Love this restaurant. In fact the waiter tailored the spice level and some ingredients to my liking and also offered ideas of what would go well with the “NAWABI” dish and King Cobra beer that I ordered. I loved the way the kebabs, chicken and shrimp were sautéed together with their special tomato/onion/spices after being grilled! Absolutely fantastic! Must go again on my next trip to Torquay! Great service and ambience too! Enjoy y’all!

I had a very enjoyable meal and overall experience. The Chicken Tikka Jalfezi 'Special' had a thick sauce, which added texture to the flavour. The portion size may be slightly smaller than some people would expect, but add a side dish and naan bread and it was the perfect quantity. The staff were very friendly and genuinely interested in conversation. I hope to return to Torquay at some point and would revisit the restaurant without hesitation. Thank you!

What a lovely place to go for a meal, staff very helpful to what ever you asked them. I like a extra onion chutney most restaurants I ask give you a extra small dish, not here a big extra portion. Food was 10 out of 10 do not go to the Indian restaurant on the other side of the street east is west 2 out of 10 there. Thanks for a brilliant meal Raymond

Being blessed enough to be well travelled, we know our food. We also new before we went to Maha Bharat in Torquay that it would be “Indian” food cooked by Bengalis for the British palate and we were absolutely fine with that. When we went in we were greet by the lovely Hafsa and as our evening went on we noticed how much she wanted her customers to be happy and she was very attentive - Hafsa has only been with the restaurant for two weeks but she is confident and charming - an asset to the business. Our food was lovely and well cooked. We had the mixed kebab starter and tandoori chicken. Our mains were a meat thali consisting of chicken korma, lamb bhuna, tandoori chicken, rice, naan and yoghurt. Everything was flavourful, Service like I said was attentive and very polite. The decor is nice with the feature point being a lovely, massive saltwater fish tank. A few more fish would be a welcome addition. We had a lovely, blessed evening - it was good for us to know that all the meat was halal - thank you and well done Hafsa and the team!

Went for a meal here tonight - the vibes were immaculate and everything we had was fab. The table was full of food and the waiters were honestly super lovely and kept us entertained. Omar and his colleagues made us feel super super welcome and we’ll be back!! Service is amazing here - they can advise on food and spice levels if you’re not sure too which is lovely. Can’t wait to pop back in later.
